Designs by Lucinda, SCS and JUGS

The story of Lucinda and how she rose from destitution is truly remarkable and that is subject of  the Inspirational Challenge on SCS.
I love the colours of these Art Deco Pins and used these for my card.
I stamped the flowers on water colour paper with Versamark, heat embossed with white ep then water coloured the flowers by soaking the  paper, dotting with distress inks and allowing the colours to run and merge. I  fussy cut the flowers and popped them up for dimension on the dp that I had made using the rubber band brayer technique. For this I heat embossed using silver embossing powder and then sponged with various blue and green memento inks. I layered on navy and white card.
I have also entered this in the JUGS challenge this week which uses this photo for our inspiration.

Thanks for looking - enjoy the rest of your weekend x

There's Always One -

One of the challenges this week at SCS is to make a funny card for a man.
I chose this card which I made a little while ago as I had never used it before to enter a challenge on SCS.
In a group there is always one awkward one right?! If there is a wrong way to do something then there's always one who will find it - I'm a bit like that. - LOL.

Products used:
Wild about You Stamps from GKD
Versafine Black Onyx Ink
Memento Inks
Clear EP
Paper and Card from stash
Darice Reptile embossing folder

Hope you enjoyed my fun card. Mind how you go now!

My Valentine

I cased Catherine Pooler's Negative Space card

to make a Valentine for my husband this year.

Coral, Sage and White

Lovely colour combo for the JUGS challenge this week and I have used it for this sympathy card. The background was made by using the block stamping technique with Tea Dye and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. I used stamps from SU Secret Garden - Memento Tuxedo Black and Olive Grove. I then debossed by running it through my Big Shot using Craft Concepts In Stitches EF.

Variation on a theme.

I decided yesterday's  Bright Colours for a Grey Day card were a bit too bright!  The tag colour was too close a match to the flower..... I changed the tag today for a much lighter one and feel that it is an improvement. What do you think?

This card was favourited in SCS for this week - What a fabulous feeling when this happens!! Thank you Karen Dunbrook. Karen designs for Penny Black so this was a great honour.

Bright Colours for a Grey Day

It's so dull and overcast today so the challenge on SCS  for a lime, orange and white card should cheer things up a bit. You can't get much brighter than that!
The challenge was set by Vicki Dutcher. Vicki makes such fun cards which you can view here at All I Do Is Stamp.
I stamped the flourish first using Memento inks then Embossed it in my Big Shot. The flowers were stamped on scratch card again with Memento inks and Diamond Glaze was added for shine. I used two ribbons. The third flower, button and tag were attached to the ribbons with orange and lime cotton thread.

Orange, black and white card,
Memento inks - Tuxedo Black,  Morocco, Tangelo, Pear tart, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove .
Craft Concepts Embossing Folder - In Stitches.
Orange and lime ribbon and cotton thread.
Orange button,
Silver Stickles.
Diamond Glaze.
Pop ups / dimensionals.

Waterfall Birthday Card

Happy Birthday to my D-I-L Emma!
This is the card I made with pictures of her two daughters inside.  Aren't they just so adorable?

The instructions for making this type of card can be found on Splitcoaststampers here

If you have never made one do try - great fun to make!

Speedy Recovery

This weeks challenge on JUGS was to use 'masking' on the card. I chose to do a CAS card so as to combine with my challenge on StampNation.

The light wasn't too good today for photos; I really need to make a light box!
I stamped the large flower on Ryman Bright White 200gm card with Versafine black ink and heat embossed it with clear ep.  I masked it with another stamped on paper and then stamped the smaller flower to underlap; again embossed with clear ep. I masked them both in order to stamp the foliage with Ranger Distress Inks in Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood for the background. I coloured the flowers with Copic pens, added a sentiment, embossed some lines, added some peach pearls and silver Stickles. After rounding the two corners I mounted this on white card stock with dimensionals. The flower and foliage stamps are from Stampin'Up  but the sentiment is from I don't know where!

Thanks for coming by.

OOh! a Favourite Again.

How lovely and I am really so excited.  I have had the card "With Sympathy"  that I entered in the neutrals challenge at Splitcoaststampers last week nominated as a weekly favourite  by two people.
It is such an honour to be nominated by your peers. WOW!

I have been diddy daddling about this week, not happy with much I have made but this has really spurred me on.
On Friday last my Grandchildren made some baskets for their Mummy's birthday tomorrow so will post them later with the card I made too. :)

SCS Challenge

Today we have had snow AGAIN! It had been a great weekend for gardening albeit a bit windy. Well more than a bit - one of the fence panels was blown away on Friday. I did manage to get quite a bit done; pruning the roses, clematises and  heathers. Lovely to see the primroses in bloom - amazing splash of yellow - and the snowdrops just opening up.
So with the weather turning for the worst again I managed to get some card-making time in.  I have entered another card for this week's Splitcoast Stampers Colour Challenge .

This is block stamped with Memento Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. Then I stamped the images in Tuxedo Black and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added a border die cut, popped up with dimensionals and added some bling. The kraft mat was given three score lines top and bottom.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)

This is a card I am entering in the Staying Neutral Challenge 47 at StampNation and  the Tuesday Colour Challenge at SCS

I used six layers so the card didn't look too pale. I used Ivory, Kraft and Black card stock. The stamps were from Inkylicious  - Meadow Breeze and the swirls from Inkadinka Clings. I can't remember where the sentiment came from. I sponged the edges of the ivory card with Memento toffee crunch and stamped the images with a combo of rich cocoa, espresso truffle and toffee crunch. To finish - a brown ribbon, paper piercing and a bit of bling.
Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by :)
